We envision a world where every family experiencing pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or infant loss is met with compassion, understanding, and meaningful support. A world where babies are remembered, grief is acknowledged, and no parent feels they have to navigate the unimaginable alone.
In the United States, stillbirth affects approximately 1 in every 175 births. In 2023, 20,005 babies were stillborn in the United States. More than 20,000 infants also died before their first birthday that year.
Worldwide, an estimated 1.9 million babies were stillborn at 28 weeks of pregnancy or later in 2023 (Camille's birth year) -- approximately one every 17 seconds. In that same year, an estimated 2.3 million newborns died within their first 28 days of life.
These numbers represent more than statistics. Behind every number is a family whose world changed forever and a grief that deserves to be seen.
Through The Camille Connection, we hope to offer families small but meaningful reminders that their babies matter and that they have not been forgotten. Each care package is an opportunity to show up for a family during a time when words often fall short.
We also hope to help raise awareness of pregnancy and infant loss, encourage compassionate and informed bereavement care, and support continued efforts to improve stillbirth prevention and research.
We know a care package cannot take away grief or change what happened. Our hope is simply to help make a painful and isolating experience feel a little less lonely.
In Camille’s memory, we will keep looking for ways to carry love forward—one family, one care package, and one act of kindness at a time.
